Your family's information stays private. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. This policy explains plainly what we collect, why, and how you can delete it.
Who we are
Momkick is operated by Act Happy Enterprises Inc., a California-based company. You can reach us at info@acthappyinc.com.
What we collect and why
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the password you choose. This is used solely to identify you within the app and send you notifications you opt into.
Profile information. You may optionally add a profile photo, city, and a short bio. This is visible only to members of communities you join.
Children's information. You may add basic information about your children — first name, date of birth, school, and activities. This information is:
- Stored securely in our database (Supabase, hosted in the United States)
- Visible only to you and friends you explicitly choose to share it with
- Never used for advertising or sold to any third party
- Never used to train AI systems
Activity and schedule data. Activities you add for your children (sports, school events, appointments) are stored so the app can help you coordinate carpools and scheduling. You control who can see this information through the sharing settings in the app.
Community posts. When you post in a Momkick community, that content is visible to other approved members of that community. Posts are stored in our database and are not indexed by search engines.
Photos. Photos you upload (profile pictures, post images, milestone photos) are stored in private cloud storage. Photo URLs are generated on-demand and are not publicly guessable.
Usage information. We collect basic app usage data (screens viewed, features used) to understand how to improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity in any analytics system we share externally.
How we store and protect your data
All data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform with row-level security controls. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Stripe for payment processing — we never see or store your credit card number directly.
Push notifications
If you allow push notifications, we may send you alerts about community activity, carpool matches, and messages from other members. You can disable these at any time in your device's notification settings.
Sharing with other members
Momkick is a community app. Information you post or share is visible to other members of those communities. You choose which communities to join and which friends to share your children's schedules with. We do not share your information with third parties outside the app.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Momkick is designed for parents and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. Information about children is entered by their parents and is subject to all the protections described in this policy. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at info@acthappyinc.com and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Access: You can view all information in your account within the app at any time.
- Correction: You can edit your profile and your children's information directly in the app.
- Deletion: To delete your account and all associated data, email us at info@acthappyinc.com with the subject line "Delete my account." We will complete the deletion within 30 days.
- Data portability: You may request a copy of your data by emailing us.
Third-party services
We use the following services to operate Momkick:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — payment processing for community subscriptions
- Expo / Apple Push Notification Service — push notifications
Each of these services has its own privacy policy and handles data only as necessary to provide the service.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify users through the app. Continued use of Momkick after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
